The NCL program: Philanthropic, Cultural, Educational and Leadership
National Charity League, Inc.
is comprised of over 128 chapters in 15 states nationwide. Our
organization is the only mother-daughter volunteer force of its kind
serving local communities. Each chapter of National Charity
League, Inc. encompasses a four-prong approach and includes
philanthropic, educational, leadership and cultural components. Chapters
consider the local community’s needs and select philanthropies to
support. Support is provided through the donation of time and
organizational skills .
Members are mothers with
daughters in grades seven through twelve who indicate an interest in
and commitment to community service, leadership development and
cultural experiences. Educational activities are designed to teach daughters to be self-assured young women in today’s society, to demonstrate good manners, to respect others and to develop leadership skills. Cultural Events help members develop community awareness and cultural sensitivity.
In order to join National Charity League,
Inc. and the Heritage Oaks Chapter, women and their daughters must be
sponsored by current NCL, Inc. members in good standing and be
compatible with the chapter members. Membership requires a commitment
of time, service and financial obligations.
